Community Literacy of Ontario proudly presents our newest resource: Adult Learners in a Post-Pandemic World.

In 2020, a series of major events began reshaping adult learning across Ontario:

  • The widespread impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
  • The phased implementation of the Employment Services Transformation (ES Transformation)
  • Shifting labour market demands and employer expectations

Together, these changes have significantly impacted the demographics, needs, and challenges of learners accessing Get SET programs.

Adult Learners in a Post-Pandemic World explores how these transformations are affecting adult learners and service providers across the province. The report provides a detailed look at the evolving landscape, drawing on:

  • A provincial survey of LBS agencies
  • Focus groups and consultations with practitioners
  • Analysis of learner demographics, referral patterns, and program data
