Exploring Employment as a Cabinetmaker will help adult learners enrolled in Ontario’s Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) program who are interested in becoming a cabinetmaker. Exploring Employment as a Cabinetmaker provides an overview of the basic skill requirements for a career in cabinetmaking including skills from the Government of Canada’s Skills for Success model. Sample tasks and activities align with the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework and have been designed for learners with Level 2 skills. This resource also embeds the Government of Canada’s Skills for Success and shares information on two pathways to this career - apprenticeship and employment.
